Creating Your Beaches

Our interactive map is designed to introduce new beaches to people who may not know about them otherwise. Your local beaches may bring joy to people from all over the world, and it only takes a few moments to create a new beach listing with our interactive maps.

The first step to creating a beach is entering the location information. Your beach may not have a formal name or address, and that is fine. When entering the street information, you may want to simply enter the name of the highway, street or road that is closest to the beach, and then add the remaining directions to the beach under the “additional” tab that is provided on our Create Beaches page.

You can enter some information about your beach here, as well. You may want to provide details about the location, such as whether surfing is best in the summer or winter months, and any special features that you think are important.

You will also be able to tell other about any amenities that are available, like restrooms, food vendors, or showers. This will help other people decide whether your beach is the perfect destination for them, or not.

Our Contest Rules

In order to win our Beach Life contest, you will want to create a beach listing that is helpful to others. Make sure that your location information describes the beach clearly, and then take the time to write a blog about your beach and upload some photos of the area on your gallery. The rules for the contest are as follows:

Create a unique listing with good listing information and photos. Photos should be only of the beach, not the people in it!

Get your beach voted into the #1 position on the Beaches Top Ten List

Remain #1 on the list for 30 days

Win $250!

We will start a new contest each time 50 unique beaches are listed on Beach Life, so keep adding your locations to increase your chances of winning.

Uploading Your Photos

You can create up to 20 unique photo albums on Beach Life. You simply need to have your photos available, and go to our “My Gallery” section under the gallery tab. Make sure that you add a description of your photo and videos, then use the “Browse” button to choose the video or photo that you want to upload onto the website.
